NVIDIA's new laptop chip gives Windows machines a massive shared-memory edge
NVIDIA's RTX Spark N1X, arriving October 2026 in laptops from Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI, gives the GPU and CPU up to 128GB of shared memory — like one large desk both processors work from instead of two smaller ones. Neither Intel-style laptops nor Apple's Mac chips offer that much shared memory at this price tier, which matters for running AI programs locally rather than in the cloud.
