Sony's table tennis robot Ace uses a smarter camera than ordinary ones. Instead of taking many blurry pictures per second, it captures only moments when light changes — exactly when a ball moves. This cuts the amount of data the robot has to process while keeping precise timing. The result: it can track balls moving over 60 miles per hour without slowing down.
