Cleverly Runs for London Mayor — but Needs Rival Voters' Backup

James Cleverly left the Conservative shadow cabinet on 29 August 2026 to run for London mayor. The 2028 vote lets people pick a first and second choice. If nobody gets over half of first choices, second choices are counted instead.
