
Nepal's Army Pumps Air Into Tunnel to Save Trapped Workers After Glacier Flood
On August 26, a wall of ice collapsed along the Nepal-Tibet border and sent floodwater racing downstream, killing 768 people and leaving 3,048 missing by August 30. Rescue teams are searching the Bhotekoshi River area, where 933 dam workers are among the missing. Nepal's army pushed a pipe into a tunnel to pump air to over 100 workers believed trapped inside.
