PM steps in to stop refugee intake cut

Minister Burke said Australia would take in fewer refugees — cutting places from 20,000 to 13,750 by 2027-28. Two days later, the PM said no, the cut won't happen. Labor MPs were unhappy about the mess-up, and the party's left wing took the win.
