Thieves With a Hammer Stole a $4M Diamond Necklace From a Vienna Museum

Two men broke a glass case at Vienna's MAK museum with a hammer and took a diamond necklace made for an Egyptian queen, worth about $4 million. The museum had a security plan with partner Van Cleef & Arpels. Staff followed the rules; no one was hurt. That the theft was so easy raises questions about how museums protect priceless items.
