OpenAI Hires a Meta Executive to Lead Its Growth in Southeast Asia and Australia

OpenAI has hired Sandhya Devanathan, a senior Meta executive who oversaw India and Southeast Asia, to lead its expansion across Southeast Asia and Australia starting October. Based in Singapore, she will manage consumer growth, business sales, partnerships, government relations, and daily operations — the same broad approach Meta, Google, and Amazon used when expanding overseas.
