Judge Says Pentagon Illegally Blacklisted AI Company Anthropic

A federal judge ruled August 27 that the Pentagon illegally labeled AI company Anthropic a security risk without evidence. The ruling stops government agencies from following Trump's order to stop using Anthropic's AI tool, Claude. The judge wrote that citing national security is "not a blank check to punish" critics. Anthropic won one of two cases; a second remains pending.
