A report out August 27, 2026 finds CEOs at the 100 lowest-paying large U.S. companies earned 614 times their typical worker in 2025 — $17.5 million versus $36,571. From 2019 to 2025, CEO pay rose 41.4%, double worker pay growth, which fell behind 25.9% inflation, meaning prices rose faster than wages.
