New Star Trek Show Coming to Paramount+ on January 15

A brand new Star Trek show called Starfleet Academy will start on January 15 on Paramount+ (a streaming service like Netflix). People in the U.S., U.K., Latin America, Australia, Europe, and Asia will be able to watch it. This is part of a bigger plan where Star Trek shows appear on multiple streaming services—Netflix has Star Trek shows in 188 countries, while Paramount+ has this new one. To get people excited, the company is also releasing Star Trek merchandise (collectible items) at the same time, including a communicator (a pretend walkie-talkie device from the show that actually works with Bluetooth technology) and fancy Starfleet watches. By releasing the show and products together, the company hopes to attract more fans and make more money.
