Meta's Settlement Pays More Only If TikTok and YouTube Limit Teens' Screen Time

Meta agreed to pay U.S. states $18 billion to end a lawsuit. But $5.3 billion of that is conditional: Meta only pays it if YouTube and TikTok agree to cap teens at one hour daily, block apps at night, and verify users' ages. If they refuse, Meta pays less. A judge must still approve the deal. Meta denied any wrongdoing.
