SpaceX to Build a $100 Billion New Rocket Launch Site in Louisiana

SpaceX will spend $100 billion on a second Starship launch site in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, starting construction in 2027. Starship has flown 13 test flights since 2023, but the rocket has not yet landed both of its two main pieces safely back on the ground in a single flight. The investment assumes those problems get solved on time.
