Judge Says No to Maxwell's Attempt to Undo Her Conviction
A federal judge in New York rejected Ghislaine Maxwell's attempt to overturn her 2021 sex-trafficking conviction on August 25, 2026. Maxwell had pointed to the Trump Justice Department's release of millions of pages of Epstein documents as new evidence. Judge Engelmayer found the material "incriminates her or reinforces the correctness" of her conviction. He called her claims "demonstrably meritless." Maxwell serves her sentence in Bryan, Texas.
