Sixteen Countries Say Myanmar Is Too Dangerous for Rohingya Refugees to Return

Sixteen foreign embassies in Bangladesh, including the EU, UK, and Canada, say Myanmar's ongoing fighting, civilian airstrikes, and blocked aid make it unsafe for Rohingya refugees to go home. This challenges the Myanmar military government's promises. Over 1.2 million Rohingya have lived in Bangladesh camps since fleeing violence in 2017.
