NVIDIA Outlines a Path to Run Its GPUs Without Intel or ARM Chips

At Hot Chips 2026, NVIDIA showed how its GPUs could run on RISC-V, an open-source chip design, instead of the usual Intel or ARM processors. NVIDIA also said it will let other chipmakers use NVLink, its fast GPU-to-GPU connection. NVIDIA did not say whether any RISC-V chip currently meets the requirements.
