Zambia Locks Courts on Last Day to Contest Election

On August 24, Zambian police taped shut the courts in Lusaka. It was the last day to formally challenge the August 13 presidential election, where incumbent Hichilema won 60% of the vote. His rival Mundubile, who says the vote was unfair, is in hiding under foreign protection. The swearing-in goes ahead September 1.
