An expert warns that airplane vibrations from a larger Heathrow could shake Harmondsworth's 1426 barn "to pieces." The wooden barn is so historically important that England gives it top-level protection, like Westminster Abbey. Most of its original wood still stands. The public can object to the expansion plan until 1 September 2026.
