Measles Is Spreading Again — and 280,000 US Kindergarteners Aren't Protected
At least 280,000 US kindergarteners haven't had their measles vaccine, Dr. Paul Offit told The Guardian. Only 92.4% of kids are protected — below the 95% needed to keep measles from spreading. Measles is extremely contagious: one sick person can infect up to 18 others. This is America's worst measles year since 1991, with outbreaks now in Utah and South Carolina.
