US and Canada Fail to Reach Trade Deal Before Tariff Deadline

After three days of talks, the US and Canada reached no deal on August 21. A tariff — a tax on goods crossing borders — of 50% on Canadian products is set for August 22. The fight is over dairy, alcohol, and cars. Experts told Al Jazeera that even an agreement wouldn't remove all tariffs.
