Fashion-Tech Startup Founder Sentenced to Prison for $300 Million Fraud

Christine Hunsicker, who founded fashion-tech company CaaStle, was sentenced on August 20, 2026, to five years in federal prison for cheating investors out of $300 million from 2019 to 2025. She pleaded guilty in March 2026 after lying to hundreds of backers with fake financial records and false audits while claiming her company was worth $1.4 billion.
