Fusion fuel startup cuts production time from a week to hours
Inertia Enterprises says it can make fusion fuel pellets in two to three hours instead of a week. Growing the crystals at the heart of each pellet — the slowest step — now takes about 30 minutes, down from up to a week. The company, which raised $450 million in February 2026, says this is the first of ten hurdles to building a working fusion power plant.
