Thousands in Hawaii Still Without Power After Hurricane Lala

About 114,000 Hawaii homes and businesses had no electricity on August 19, three days after Hurricane Lala hit. Hawaiian Electric said the storm badly damaged power lines, especially in far-off areas. Some communities on the southern Big Island were cut off entirely as crews worked overnight to fix the damage.
