New Tool Tracks Missing and Changed Government Data

A new website from dataindex.us, co-founded by former Biden data scientist Denice Ross, found 28 deleted and 338 changed government data collections across more than 60 agencies in 18 months. Health data was hit hardest, making up about 40%. Changes also touched environment, labor, and policing — what observers call a "surgical removal" matching Trump administration priorities.
