MPs to question how a government-checked NATO intern was charged with spying

A House of Commons committee will hold hearings on how Canada screens people for security clearance. Belgian authorities charged Biwei Zhang, 33 — a NATO intern approved by Ottawa — with spying for China. Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree has been invited to testify before the committee.
