Apple Sends Its Largest-Ever Spyware Warning to Users in 110 Countries

On August 14, 2026, Apple warned customers in 110 countries that sophisticated spy software may have targeted their phones. The digital rights group Access Now called it the largest batch yet, with 30–40% more help requests than previous waves. Apple has now warned users in over 150 countries total. Citizen Lab's John Scott-Railton said the attacks are more common than people realize.
