
Apple Fixes Mac Security Hole That Let Attackers Take Full Control
A flaw in macOS Screen Sharing let attackers take full control of affected Macs and secretly run software that mines digital currency, according to Dutch cybersecurity officials. The attack works only if a specific network connection (port 5900) is exposed. Apple released free fixes on August 6 for three recent macOS versions. Update now and ensure that port is closed.
