After a $24M Boat Campaign Failed, Activists Try One Small Ship Toward Gaza

Twelve activists left Bristol on 17 August 2026 aboard The Kate — one small boat instead of a fleet. Israel, which blocks goods and people from reaching Gaza by sea, intercepted 41 activist boats in May 2026 alone. A larger $24 million campaign has tried and failed multiple times since 2025. Lawyer Frank Romano says Israel has seized over 75 such boats since October 2023.
