New US tariffs impose a 100 percent tax on any drone equipped with a heat-sensing camera, regardless of the drone's size. A small model with this feature is taxed at the highest rate, not the lower 25 percent rate. Inspection, policing, and emergency response teams face doubled costs. The taxes take effect around September 3, 2026.
