Netflix closes two game studios shortly after praising their success

Netflix shut down Night School Studio and Moonloot Games on August 13, 2026, cutting an undisclosed number of game-team jobs. On July 16, co-CEO Gregory Peters said both studios' games were Netflix's best-performing titles played through its app, with "really solid numbers." Less than four weeks separated that praise from the closures.
