OpenAI Shows Off a Much Faster Chatbot Mode, Powered by Cerebras Chips

OpenAI previewed Ultrafast, a speed-boosted option for its GPT-5.6 Sol chatbot that produces text up to 14 times faster than normal. It runs on special computer chips from a company called Cerebras, not OpenAI's own servers. Only a small group of customers can try it now. Pricing and a wider release date are not yet public.
