SanDisk sales soared as AI companies buy more data storage

SanDisk's revenue jumped from $5.95 billion to $8.97 billion in two quarters, Reuters reports. Profit climbed from $3.6 billion to $6.9 billion. The reason: companies building artificial intelligence systems need huge amounts of data storage, and SanDisk makes the memory chips that store it.
