Major Earthquake in Colombia Kills Over 250 People

A powerful earthquake hit western Colombia on August 10, 2026. By the next morning, at least 254 people had died, and that number was expected to grow as rescue teams reached hard-to-access areas. Colombia declared a national emergency. A Mexican rescue team called Topos Azteca arrived in Cali to help search for survivors.
