Apple Wants to Pay News Publishers Based on How Often Siri Uses Their Content

Apple is talking with news publishers to use their content in a smarter version of Siri, its voice assistant, expected in 2026. Instead of paying a flat fee upfront, Apple would pay publishers each time Siri pulls up their work. Apple has considered spending hundreds of millions on these payments, an approach other AI companies have not taken.
