Investment Firm Blackstone Close to Buying a Piece of Air Canada's Rewards Program

Blackstone, a large investment firm, is close to buying a share of Air Canada's Aeroplan rewards program for about US$2 billion, Bloomberg reported August 10. Air Canada would stay in charge; Blackstone would just earn money from it. The deal isn't final and terms could change. Aeroplan lets travelers earn points toward flights.
