Sidewalk delivery robot company Serve loses Uber partnership after delivery decline

Serve Robotics, which makes sidewalk delivery robots, saw its deliveries through Uber drop in Q2 2026 after growing for over four years. CEO Ali Kashani blamed low robot usage and disagreements over how to manage the fleet and work with restaurants. Serve does not expect to extend its Uber deal past early 2027. Uber sold its ownership stake in Serve, which Serve learned about from a public filing, not a direct call.
