Three top leaders leave OpenAI as it prepares to sell shares to the public

Three senior leaders have left OpenAI in four months: chief operating officer Brad Lightcap (August 2026), artificial intelligence lead Fidji Simo (July), and marketing chief Kate Rouch (April). Remaining executives Greg Brockman and Denise Dresser took on their duties. OpenAI says it will focus on money-making projects before selling shares to the public.
