Study Shows Doctor Kindness Could Make NHS Hospitals Safer

New research from the University of Leicester found that when doctors and nurses are more caring and attentive, hospitals get better safety ratings. The finding matters now: patient satisfaction with NHS care dropped to 36% last year—the lowest in 25 years. The study also found hospitals with kinder staff spent less on temporary workers and had happier employees.
