Stellantis to Deploy Wayve's Autonomous Tech Across 90% of Lineup by 2028

Stellantis announced 21 May that it will integrate British AI startup Wayve's driving software into nine-tenths of its vehicles beginning 2028, delivering hands-free Level 2++ capability for highway and urban driving. The deployment—handling steering, braking, and acceleration while requiring driver monitoring—scales across Jeep, Ram, Peugeot, Citroën, and Fiat brands. The partnership builds on Stellantis' prior investment in Wayve and includes a pathway to higher automation levels.
