Analogue 3D Firmware 1.3.0 Adds Universal Save States Across Full N64 Library

Analogue has released firmware 1.3.0 for its 3D FPGA console, introducing Memories save states that work across all 900+ N64 cartridges. The feature—the first such implementation on hardware-accurate emulation—lets players preserve mid-game progress using controller button combinations. Save states now cover games with diverse original mechanisms: battery backup, Controller Pak storage, or none at all. Firmware 1.2.4's header-detection system underpins the compatibility, automatically mapping save states to correct game variants even when cartridges modify their identifiers.
