Labor delegates back gas tax motions; Albanese rules one out

At Labor's 50th national conference in Adelaide on July 24, delegates backed motions to end mining fuel subsidies, strengthen gambling ad crackdowns, and raise gas export taxes. Albanese ruled out a gas tax outright; Treasurer Chalmers had said the previous day it was not on the agenda. Ed Husic broke ranks to back a gas tax anyway.
