
Kalanick's Robotics Firm Atoms Raises $1.7B Led by Andreessen Horowitz
Travis Kalanick's robotics company Atoms raised $1.7 billion in a round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with Bain Capital, Fifth Wall, and Uber participating. a16z's Ben Horowitz will join Atoms' board. Atoms, built atop Kalanick's Cloud Kitchens venture, targets physical automation across food, mining, and transport. The company acquired Anthony Levandowski's Pronto in March 2026.
