Samsung's Smart Glasses Ship Without a Display, Trading Optics for Nine-Hour Battery Life

Samsung's upcoming smart glasses omit a display entirely, relying on voice interaction and Wi-Fi 7 phone-tethered streaming. The tradeoff lets a 155mAh battery last nine hours while running on-device AI — visual search and real-time translation — on Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 Hexagon NPU. A charging case adds seven more charges. Samsung will disclose pricing and availability this fall.
