Luxon calls NZ First's Shane Jones "crass and unprofessional" over India FTA and migration comments
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon told RNZ's Morning Report that comments by NZ First deputy leader Shane Jones at the party's annual convention were "crass and unprofessional." Jones had pledged to "call out" Indian migration levels and told party leaders to "take off your knee pads" over their reception of Indian PM Narendra Modi. Luxon called NZ First's opposition to the India FTA "hypocritical," noting Associate Agriculture Minister Mark Patterson was in India selling tariff-free New Zealand wool under the same agreement.
