Over 100 detained in Liège student protests over education costs

Police in Liège detained more than 100 people after student protests on Oct. 7 over rising education costs. Belga, citing Liège police, reported 80 detentions and 27 formal arrests. Students opposed Wallonia-Brussels Federation reforms and fee hikes. Police said some protesters damaged property and set fires.
