Coalition plans to cut net migration to about 100,000
Coalition leader Angus Taylor plans to cut net overseas migration to about 100,000 in the first year after an election, then to 130,000 to 225,000, Nine newspapers reported. That is roughly a two-thirds cut and sits below Labor's 225,000 target. He will seek joint party-room approval on 6 October before publicly unveiling the policy.
