National says it would add $604 million to Pharmac's budget for funded medicines if re-elected. Pharmac is the agency that decides which medicines the public system pays for. The party says most of the cost would be met by a 10 percent cut to aid outside the Pacific. Pacific aid would stay. It spoke in Epsom, Auckland.
