Chicago Woman Charged With Murder in Stabbing Death of 7-Year-Old

Chicago police charged Shavon Gayden, 48, with first-degree murder in the Saturday stabbing death of 7-year-old Eddimar Hernandez-Chacon in Chatham, police said Sunday. The girl was pronounced dead at Comer children's hospital. The Cook County State's Attorney's office is prosecuting the case.
