Nasdaq Hits New All-Time High, Up 0.42% on Oct. 5

The Nasdaq Composite closed at a new all-time high on Oct. 5, 2026, gaining 0.42%, per TheStreet. The S&P 500 edged up 0.18% while the Dow lost 0.21%. For savers, it shows index funds can rise on a few tech names. I doubt such narrow leadership offers much cushion if earnings slip.
