Tech Stocks Push Market to a New High

Tech-led Nasdaq Composite closed at a new record high on Oct. 5, 2026, up 0.42%, per TheStreet. The wider S&P 500 basket rose 0.18%, while the Dow of 30 giants fell 0.21%. Like a team carried by a few stars, savers’ index funds rode tech. I doubt that gives much safety if profits slip.
