Fervo Starts Grid Sales From First Commercial Enhanced Geothermal Plant

Fervo Energy started selling electricity from Cape Station to the grid on September 30, 2026, the first enhanced geothermal company to reach commercial operations. The operating block is one-third of a planned 100-megawatt plant in southwest Utah, with site potential up to 4 gigawatts. Google and Southern California Edison will buy power.
